The European Bread Museum participated in an exhibition at the Museum of Folk Art and Tradition “Angeliki Hatzimichali” in the Municipality of Athens and in collaboration with the Centre for the Study of Greek Folklore of the Academy of Athens.
The Museum of Folk Art and Tradition “Angeliki Hatzimichali” is housed in the house of the great folklorist (1895-1965) who grew up in Plaka. The building is the work of the Macedonian Aristotle Zachos who was an important scholar of Greek tradition. Its interior decoration was done by folk craftsmen and is of high aesthetic quality. Today it belongs to the Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Athens. Part of the exhibits of the European Bread Museum (located in Varnavas, Attica, municipality of Marathon) consisting of festive embroidered, religious and traditional breads adorned the exhibition.
