In the city of Kavala, following the invitation of the Municipality, the Municipal Public Benefit Enterprise “DIMOFELEIA” and the Tobacco Museum, the European Artos Museum made “one more stop” on 24 and 25 May to honour the International Museum Day 2012 in the events of the municipality of Kavala.
During this two-day event, the European Bread Museum held original interactive educational programmes for primary school students on the cycle of bread (sowing, harvesting, milling) and the transformation of wheat into flour and bread, along with the cycle of tobacco from cultivation to industrial processing.
At the same time, the “embroidered bread makers” of the bread museum with their president Mrs. Milea Pappa and with the participation of the young students and their escorts transformed the dough into unique works of art inspired by tobacco. Present were the mayor of the municipality of Kavala Mr. Kostis Simitsis , the president and vice president of “Dimofeleia” Mr. Stelios Schoinakis and Mr. Paris Ananiadis.
