Hundreds of citizens of the 2nd District of the Municipality of Athens visited the elaborate space created by the Historical and Folklore Museum of Varnavas at an event organized by the Development Movement of Citizens of the Municipality of Athens at Plyta Square in Pagrati.
It was a meeting event for the citizens of the 2nd District of the Municipality of Athens, as well as the participation of dance groups such as the Epirus Club of Thriasio Field, the Cretan Club of Ampelokipon and Psychiko, the Acharno Oxen Club – Captain Euclid – and the Traditional & Island Dance Club of Thriasio Field. The event was attended by the deputies of Athens, Mr. Christos Papoutsis and Mr. Kostas Skandalidis, Mrs. Sylvana Rapti and the former Commissioner of our country in the EU Mrs. Anna Diamantopoulou.
The Historical and Folklore Museum of Varnavas community, whose exhibits were related to the “roads of embroidered bread”, was represented by one of the founders of the museum and its president Mrs. Milea Pappa and the ceramist and volunteer of the museum Mrs. Nasia Brissimi. The evening was pleasant and festive, with Athenian citizens enjoying an excellent and successful event with the stamp of the head of AKIVDA, Mr. Charalambos Karagiorgos.
